Praise day everyday

Last Thursday home health came out to check on me and take blood sample for my blood clot and all my vital signs as usual. When Jose was taking my needle out I got little dizzy and faint. He asked if I was O.K. and I said not really somethings not right. At that time I started seeing nothing at all and started sweating really heavy. The next thing I remember was him asking me if I could hear him. When I came to he said he could not get a pulse or blood pressure for at least 7 minutes. I actually thought this is it! He said my blood pressure was 54/32 when I came to. He called an ambulance out  then he called Judy. Loaded me up and took me to Idabel Hospital to the emergency room where I stayed for about 6 hours. More needles and more blood drawn, EKG whole 9 yards. Everything came back good. Got released came home packed our bags got up 5:00 AM Friday, had to be at Baylor at 9:00 AM with app. With my ENT. He said my jaw was 80% healed and he felt like it was going to heal alright. I was worried it was not going to heal. Thank you Lord!  Later I had to do a CT scan, of course another needle for my IV who would have guessed that. Later that afternoon we met with my oncologist Dr. Nadler. He said my scan showed no signs of cancer anywhere! Thank you Lord again!! He was not happy with my weight loss since surgery on June 4. I weighed 168 lbs. I weighed 158 when I checked in. He told Judy and I that if I did not start gaining he was going to put a feeding tube back in, that I needed more calories than I was getting. He also said the problem with me passing out was from dehydration. So now I am on a mission to get my weight up. Him and Dr. Oxford wants me back in 4 weeks.  We left Friday afternoon and went to Cedar Creek lake to Mother-in-laws lake house and stayed till Monday and came home. I can really heal better there than I can at home for some weird reason. It is so peaceful and beautiful there, we didn't want to leave. While there we visited with Sandi and Mick went boat riding and Pickin Willy and Lisa came down Saturday. We had a great visit with everyone and we ate very well, did not want to come home. Brian Cole Young a good friend  of mine came by and visited us for awhile Sunday we really had a good visit. He went to school with Judy and Sandi back in the day. Long story short I gained 3lbs. while we were there. So yes it was a Praise Day for our God!!! He is an awsome God !!! He gets all the credit even through the bad times as well as the good times! One day I know I will be pain free. Thank you Lord!!! Everyone stay safe, catch ya"ll later.

pain still hanging on

Saw this post, that Robert typed, but did not hit publish, so I am....

Hows everybody, still dealing with pain issues. Judy and I will be going to Baylor Friday for my CT SCAN and will also meet with Dr. Oxford to see if my jaw is healing or not. When we seen him on June 26 he felt like it was not healing like it should, so he said lets give it till July 30 and look at it again. I called him back last week and told him I could not wait that long that the pain was to much. My prayers is that it will heal, if not we will have another more invasive surgery to deal with. We will know something Friday

Quick Update!

Hello, wanted to post a quick update on Robert.  His home health nurse Jose came today and drew blood.  When he finished and was leaving he handed Robert the notebook to sign for his records and said all of a sudden Robert did not look good.  Robert told him he was dizzy.  Robert then became unresponsive and Jose could not get a pulse, blood pressure, lips turned blue and he had no eye responses, the episode lasted 7 minutes.  When Robert started coming around Jose told him he called an ambulance and needed to call me.  Robert had him cancel the ambulance and then call me.  Thanks to Jose being so calm and collected I did not freak out, I got home in 5 minutes and we called for an ambulance again, I did not feel comfortable driving him.  Robert is doing good now, they did blood work and cardiac tests which all came back good.  The Dr. said he feels that it was a vagal nerve issue from having the blood drawn.

Robert has a dr. apt. with his ENT Friday at 9:00 am and then CT Scan and apt. with his Oncologist.  We have to leave at 5:30AM so I am headed to bed.  We will get the results from the scan tomorrow and will update again.

Love,
Judy

Thankful to be back home

It is nice to be back home. Thanks for all your comments. I am so thankful that I am still here, how much pain can I endure only God knows the answer to that. Thanks to my daughter for coming and staying with me and giving Judy time to get away from all this hospital madness. I would not be able to continue to go on through all this if you were not here with me, I love you so much! Please pray for me that my jaw will heal and I don't have to go through another surgery. The pain is so intense it is hard to think straight sometime. My right arm is sore from the blood clot and upper shoulder is black and purple and ugly looking. I have been poked and prodded with so many needles this past week is unbelievable. Home health comes out once a week to draw blood to stay on top of the blood clot. Thanks again everybody love Robert
